Tatami Music & Guest Room
Description
The client’s intended purpose for the project is to have a separate space where they can play and produce music in comfort. The client’s family members are all musically inclined and enjoy playing the musical instruments that are displayed throughout the room. The reason they chose to go with Tatami is that Japanese Igusa’s cooling effect allows the family to sit comfortably for long hours. They chose the 5cm thick Tatami mattress as they wanted the room to also be an overnight guest room.
