As 2025 comes to a close, this feels like a good moment to not to rush into resolutions, but to reflect on how we’ve actually been living. Over the past year, we’ve seen Tatami become part of everyday routines in homes of all sizes: cosy bedrooms, shared family spaces, meditation corners, and places simply meant for rest.
Hence, we wanted to end the year by sharing something more meaningful: how our Tatami Community used Tatami in real life, and why it mattered.
Rest That Became a Lovable Routine
For many customers, Tatami wasn’t just about better sleep. It became a grounding point at the end of busy days.
Ya Ting shared how the Tatami 9-in-1 Sofa Bed transformed her bedroom into a calmer, more supportive space. She noticed the natural Igusa fragrance immediately, describing it as a kind of aromatherapy that helped her sleep better. The firm support eased back tension, and unexpectedly, even reduced her mother’s snoring.
Three years on, she still uses the same Sofa Bed daily, appreciating how space-saving and practical it is, especially in an urban home.

Returning Home to Nature
Cheryl first purchased her Tatami Mattress back in 2021, looking for a more natural way to rest. Years later, it remains part of her daily rhythm. Despite regular use, the Mattress continues to provide firm, reliable support, and something less tangible but just as important: a sense of connection to nature.
She described coming home to the familiar fragrance of Japanese Igusa as a reminder to slow down. Over time, her Tatami setup expanded beyond sleep to include a Tatami Yoga Mat for somatic movement and meditation, turning her home into a place for restoration, not just recovery.

Support That Lasts for Decades
Several customers spoke about Tatami not as a short-term solution, but as something that stays with them through different stages of life.
Jia Yi shared how her father has used Tatami for over 20 years to manage chronic back issues, including a slipped disc. After decades of consistent use, he chose to replace it. Not because it failed, but because the support and comfort had proven reliable enough to continue with the same brand.
Others echoed similar experiences: firm support, cooling comfort in the afternoon, and a noticeable difference in how their bodies feel after resting.

Spaces That Adapt as Life Changes
Across different types of homes, Tatami became the foundation for flexible living.
Our Community told us how Tatami allowed one room to serve multiple purposes: sleep at night, rest or play during the day, and restful moments in between. Parents appreciated the natural materials for their children, while others used Tatami to create guest spaces that felt intentional rather than temporary.
One customer summed it up simply: Tatami made her home feel calmer, without needing more space.
