Benjamin, a new homeowner inspired by travels to Japan, envisioned creating an authentic Japanese entertainment space. After discovering us through Google searches and experiencing our products firsthand at roadshows and events, Benjamin developed confidence in our craftsmanship and expertise. Benjamin chose to trust our proven quality instead, especially after experiencing issues with the designer's external orders. The vision was clear: a sophisticated Japanese-themed area for hosting friends and family on a large scale, built with authentic materials and expert craftsmanship that would stand the test of time.

Design Strategy
We designed a comprehensive wall-to-wall raised tatami platform that maximizes both aesthetics and functionality. The elevated design provides stunning views of the garden while creating an authentic Japanese atmosphere. Hidden storage compartments run throughout the platform, with an integrated electrical winding table that adapts to various entertaining needs, from intimate gatherings to large-scale hosting for up to 18 guests.

We worked closely with Benjamin to understand the hosting requirements, storage needs, and the importance of maintaining authentic Japanese aesthetics while meeting practical entertainment demands.
Cultural Inspiration
Inspired by Benjamin's travels to Japan, the design captures the essence of traditional Japanese hospitality spaces. The authentic Igusa grass tatami creates a natural, calming atmosphere perfect for gathering with loved ones. The raised platform design mirrors traditional Japanese tea rooms and entertainment spaces, where guests sit comfortably while enjoying views and conversation.
